MISSION STATEMENT
• We aim to provide a service of the highest quality, reliability and performance that has minimal impact on the environment.
• We believe that solar-power is a viable replacement for fossil-fuel dependent technology in the events industry, and beyond.
• We encourage people to make lower-impact choices, and we endeavour to uphold and provide the opportunity for people to do so.
ETHICAL POLICY
Firefly Solar is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) which ensures that surpluses made are reinvested back into the company to facilitate the development of additional sustainable technology.
Due to our moral standing, we assure value for money in all our services and offer sizeable discounts to charitable organisers and good causes. Additionally, Firefly have a unique partnership with the NGO ‘SolarAid,’ a development charity which provides solar energy to the poorest countries in an effort to combat both global poverty and climate change.
Firefly Solar powers its eco-office by renewable energy and runs its vehicles on UK produced bio fuels wherever possible. All office supplies are sourced locally and ethically and carbon emissions are monitored and offset. We are actively working towards the new British Standard 8901, the new government guidelines that specify the requirements for a sustainable event management system.
We are an equal opportunities employer and also welcome work experience members as part of our team.
SUMMARY
